Our story
Founded in January 2022 by Ren茅 Haas and Silvain Toromanoff, we are a dedicated team committed to combating climate change.
The story behind 葫芦影业 begins with Ren茅, an industrial engineer with a master in energy and resource management who previously scaled teams to 100+ people in a Berlin-based scale-up. At the same time, Silvain, also an engineer, who previously exited his previous start-up as CTO, became increasingly concerned about the climate crisis early in his career.
Together, they combined their expertise and shared values to create 葫芦影业 and build a like-minded team.
Our goal at 葫芦影业 is to make a real impact by developing groundbreaking Direct Air Capture (DAC) technology. With our innovative approach and unwavering determination, we are working towards a sustainable future for all.

Silvain Toromanoff
Silvain is passionate about innovation for as long as he can remember. As CTO, he oversees the technology development of 葫芦影业.
Dr. Andrew Shamu
Andrew follows his great passion for utilizing his expertise to advance sustainable technologies. As Head of R&D, he provides direction for the research and development of 葫芦影业's technology.
Christian Voss
Christian brings extensive knowledge in introducing and scaling new and innovative hardware solutions. He aims to guide our future customers on their way to Net-Zero emissions.
